PLA, Resin, Wood-Fill: A Material Guide

A Material Guide

We work with five material families. None of them are perfect. Each is honest about what it is.

Matte PLA

Plant-based. Cool to the touch. Beautiful in off-white and sage. Suitable for almost any indoor object.

Wood-PLA Blend

PLA mixed with recycled wood fibre. Has the grain of wood and the printability of plastic. Develops character over time, like wood.

Marble-PLA

Mineral-filled PLA. Dense, weighted, closer to stone than plastic. The Quiet Bookends are made from it.

Concrete-Look Resin

Slate-toned, urban, sculptural. Used for our larger wall pieces and sconces.

Recycled PETG

Post-consumer recycled. Strong, sharp, sustainable. The black Madras tray is PETG.
